A couple of months, numerous emails, some long lunches and possibly a tiny bit of panicking later, we had rounded up a bunch of fabulous local authors and press-ganged them into taking part in an event. Then we chatted to the wonderful folk at Jubilee Library and discovered that the 11th of July was the start of their Summer Reading Challenge, and they kindly agreed to partner with us to set it up. The also-wonderful folk at children's bookshop The Book Nook agreed to come along to sell books, and, voila, we had an amazing day of events entitled Brighton Rocks Books. Behold!
Location: Jubilee Library, in the lovely North Laine, central Brighton
Tickets: No tickets, this is a free event, woohoo!
UPDATE: We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the new Children's Laureate, amazing illustrator Chris Riddell, will also be attending. More details to come.

Panels will be moderated by award-winning blogger Vivienne DaCosta, and each panel will end with a Q&A session.
Participating authors will also be signing their books at various times throught the day, thanks to The Book Nook.
Bonus: Jubilee Library has a brilliant cafe right next to where all the events will be going on.
So if you fancy a summer's day by the seaside with BOOKS (and let's face it, who doesn't?) we hope to see you there!
